Welcome to 2019. I hope your year is off to a great start. In the news this week, we see encouraging developments for novel innovation in the field of PHA biopolymers, an unfortunate set-back in The Ocean Clean-Up project, and a nice local story on one person's battle to respond to the implications of the China National Sword on their community recycling centers. 3D printing continues to make advances with new material trials for biopolymers and now glass. 2019 could be the year where we start to see A.I. and IoT emerging into our lives. Much of that work is so discrete, for consumers it will be strangely 'magical' how their machines anticipate and deliver to their needs. Have a great week!
